It is time once again to visit one of our favorite getaways. This time, we are in spot 89 at Hamilton Branch State Park in South Carolina. This campground is just 30 minutes from Augusta, GA and my wife and daughters’ favorite place to shop…Final Cut. This weekend they have a huge sale and my girls have scored!
There isn’t much for guys there, so the dogs, cats and I hung out at the lake. In January, there are not many sites full, so we really enjoyed the campground. It was 60 degrees during the day, so we sat outside, went for a couple of walks and just rested.
When in town, check out Nacho Mama’s and Boll Weevil Cafe. Nacho Mama’s has amazing burritos and local beers. Boll Weevil has fantastic sandwiches and unbelievable cakes.
Well, it is Sunday and time to pack up. We will probably come back in April.
