Lake Allatoona is one of our favorite destinations because it is just an hour and a half from home and easy for our kids to visit from Atlanta. We are in spot 56 which is a bit odd. I was happy about getting a pull through site, but was not expecting the steep driveway. It was a bit challenging getting us level, but we made it OK. We are lakefront, but the lake level is very low. Getting the kayak into the water was muddy and rocky. However, we made it work also.
This was the first trip we took the fencing to keep the dogs in our space. It worked out so much better than having to constantly untangle 3 dog leashes.
I took the kayak out and toured the lake homes along the channel. Most of the time I just did nothing and visited with my kids. That is why we like camping. Just get away from the crud and enjoy eachother.
